(now things are getting even more interesting. Brady and the gang are staying in the marshlands for a night. now Kate and Krystal are getting ready to leave for the Great City Tyrannos. Kate is full of questions, and so is Krystal. there are many new secrets ready to be unfolded as time progresses. lets see what unfolds here as this chapter continues.)

Kate's Log:

I woke up the next morning, it was the crack of dawn. the light shone through the open window glistening on the metal and stone walls. and outside I heard many a noises. new ones that were unfamiliar to me. there were people talking and I could hear things being done.

I got out of bed and stretched. I walked over to the window to see some awesome things.
there were all new dinosaurs out there. there were 6 earthwalker like dinosaurs. but they were extremely massive, at least 4 times as big.
then there were two very tall and very large hightop dinosaurs. they were so large it was almost indescribable.

Krystal was already awake. she was packing a few previsions and things. we didn't have much.

"ah Kate you are awake. Keta wanted to speak with us as soon as possible." Krystal said

I paused
"do you think the others will be able to find us?" I asked

Krystal paused.
"well sure, with Fo- I mean Falco leading it shouldn't be a problem." she said, almost hurt.

I took a small breath.
"do you think Brady is with them?" I asked

she looked up.
"I am not sure." she said

after we packed our things we headed down stairs. the Saurillians were not taking to many things. but they did not have a lot to start with.

people were scurrying through the streets like semi organized animals.

Keta was by one of the massive Earthwalkers.

she looked at us
"ah good morning, good to see you two bright and awake." she said

"what can we do?" Krystal asked

"well, we are loading all the civilians into the two Brachiodons, and a few of the solders will ride on the Ceritopadons." she said

she picked up a few bags and stored them in compartments in the ceritopadon's armor compartments.

then I asked her.
"I have a few questions for you." I said

"we can talk when we are out and on our way. please come, you two will ride with me on Ciro here." she said

she patted the Ceritopadon's side

it made a low bellowing noise in its gullet in approval.

we got on top of the great dinosaur as we saw the last few people climb onto the dinosaurs and pack the last things.

Kate took out a horn and blew it.
the other riders of the other dinosaurs did the same.
that was a signal to move out.

the gates were open and we began to thunder along, the Ceritopadons circled around the two Brachiodons.

we left the great desert city rather swiftly. we were making good time.
we were heading to some desert mountains that poked out of the desert like massive monuments.
it was rather quiet. the massive dinosaurs didn't make to much noise as they walked through the somewhat stiff sand.

then I asked Keta
"where did these larger dinosaurs come from? I did not see them earlier like yesterday." I said

Keta looked back at me and then looked back up front.
she held the reigns thought in her hands.
"these were sent by the Certiopian and the Brachisaurian Clans. we all work together to aid one another in times of crisis." she said

I was quiet for another moment.
then I asked
"what do you know about the arbiter?" I asked, I almost felt foolish to ask her.

she was quiet for a moment
"the Arbiter you say? what do you know already? what has Brady told you?" Keta asked

"well... the Arbiter was a hero of your people, well all of the people of Smangladore, Brady also said that the Arbiter was one of his best friends. but the arbiter one day used darkness and withdrew himself from the title of Arbiter. he left Smangladore and never came back." I said

Keta lightly laughed
"that is what he told you?" she said

I nodded

she chuckled once again
"I knew the arbiter as well, he was a very good friend of mine. but one day, he did not return from his sanctuary, but when he came back, he was changed. darkness had entered his heart. he caused much damage to others... to me." she said

"oh that is dreadful." I said

"but... even after that. I love him like a brother... because I know it wasn't truly his fault. all mortal beings have a weakness of some kind. he wasn't a God or anything. but he was a very skilled warrior, almost like he was bred for combat. but he had a heart of gold. he did not enjoy killing, he fought to protect. his power was unmatched. until that day he came from his sanctuary." she said

she took a deep breath.
"I tried to talk to him, but that day he seemed stone cold. his eyes did not glow like they use to. and during that dire battle. he killed with the thirst for blood. he killed with the most barbaric manner. then he changed... into a horrific monster. and killed them all. black flame. that deadly blow also killed many of our own." she said

she was quiet for another moment.
"but we did not hate him for it. he willingly relinquished his title as arbiter and left. but with that gap in governmental management things were beginning to fall apart. the Slerrg and the Neff began to become more populous. and they found another idol to worship. something very dark and twisted. we do not know who it is but you can just feel his darkness where is evil is." she said

I then spoke
"with so much evil... how can you have hope?" I asked

he lightly laughed
"it is rather simple... there is always hope. as long as you have faith, and also have faith in the ones you trust." Keta said

I paused
"but my father taught me to never trust anyone." I said

she looked at me for a moment.
"Kate... if you can't rely on others once and a while you can't live properly. you will always feel pain and paranoia. our society is based on trust. I just hope that you can understand that we are your friends Kate. and that whenever you need help. you can count on us." Keta said

I smiled
"thank you." I said

I felt... good about what she said

I also had a feeling that all of this would work out. I had a feeling I could count on my friends. even team Star Fox. I could actually feel that I could trust them. Krystal has been here for me the whole time. I felt I could trust her.
but what about my father... Panther Leon, what could they be doing? I worried for them, because they were still a family to me.

I just hoped all of this would work out for the better.
